What is New for 2023?

The manufacturer has shaken up the trim levels and powertrain offerings for its 2023 Jeep Cherokee compact crossover. The new lineup is simplified to two trims - Altitude Lux and Trailhawk.

Additionally, the previous 271 horsepower V6 engine has been replaced by a turbocharged 2.7L inline-four engine, which produces 270 horsepower and is exclusive to the off-road-focused Trailhawk trim.

Performance

The Altitude Lux trim has a 2.4L four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the Trailhawk trim, the most capable off-road model, has a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that can generate up to 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque around Worcester.
